Cracking ideas - £5 BLOSSOM

At this event, 13 groups of pupils from Hull Schools will meet 13 businesses they will be working with on their enterprise project over the next five months.

As part of £5 Blossom, each school is loaned £150 from their business partner and encouraged to make it grow, whilst learning about the Big 13 Enterprise Skills – these skills were first developed in Rotherham.

These skills will be useful for the pupils in later life, so they can be enterprising employees and or even own their own business.

At the end of the programme, the schools taking part will present what they have done and explain their enterprising journey to an invited audience including the Lord Mayor of Hull in the Guildhall. This will take place in April 2025. They will also outline what they will be doing with the profits they make. 50% of the profits will be donated to Joy for Joel a charity that is supporting a young person with Duchenne.

If you are a school and/or business that wants to be involved in this event please contact Mike Notarantonio by October 10th 2024 by emailing michael.notarantonio@hullcc.gov.uk
